perfect solution

I had been getting "Disk not properly ejected" errors constantly when the SP 4TB external hard drive was connected through a USB hub, even though the device remained connected. SP recommended this USB-C to USB-A adapter and I have had no issues since I started using it. Great support - if I have other issues in the future, I'm confident SP will provide the right solution without me having to do tons of research.
