INK’s fourth album was a major eureka moment for bandleader Spencer Charnas. After thumbing through some of his favorite horror novels, he decided to scrap first-person lyrics in favor of cos-playing a coterie of fiction’s greatest heroes and villains. Turns out embodying Mr. Hyde over theatre-made hooks and heavy-hammered breakdowns was a lot of fun. INK learned a few tricks while writing their Book — available now on limited edition metallic silver vinyl — and refined the meta-approach for their movie-minded follow-up, The Silver Scream.
