Great Specs, but hard to get

Not sure if this is EOL or if just has High Demand, but, I ordered one from Amazon at beginning of Jan, and got it 6+ weeks later. Strangely, about 2 weeks after I ordered it from Amazon, the product description disappeared, the delivery date estimate was pushed out 2 weeks, and the link was re-pointed to a (much cheaper) consumer version, so, I'm actually unable to post a review of this product, there, which is why this is here. The status, here on SP's web site has shown "Out of Stock" since before I ordered it on Amazon.

Read/write benchmarks were a bit lower than advertised, for me, but that might be my AMD CPU's SATA controller:
520 MB/sec read, 455 MB/sec write

Reason for purchase: replace an earlier SSD in an older laptop: Have an IBM/Lenovo Thinkpad from 2015. In 2018, I replaced the HDD with a decent quality Plextor SSD. Late last year, I needed to get a file off of the laptop, but, it would not boot! Sometime between 2020 and late 2024, many bits on that SSD apparently went bad. After pulling the old SSD, plugging it into a different system, and running chkdsk /r repeatedly, I was able to recover the data from the C: partition, but it still would not boot (errors on the MBR/System partition).

Reason for choosing this Industrial strength SSD as a replacement:

The old Plextor SSD's SMART page claims its P/E cycle average of 4! I would not expect bit rot to occur so "Quickly" (4-5 years), on such a "young" SSD, but it did.

Will see how this SP SSD does in 5 years, and 10 years, with very little expected use.
